CROCODILE
The American Crocodile from Central America and northern South America. Mostly found in coastal mangroves lining saltwater lagoons and freshwater estuaries. Declared endangered after 1979 after being extensively hunted for their skins. Endangered status due to habitat loss through urban development, illegal hunting, poaching and pollution.
Crocodiles also suffer when there is a high rate of human and reptile conflict, problems occur with crocodiles living in close proximity to local communities, also when crocodiles are illegally feed by people.
Adopt/donate/sponsor an American crocodile with The American Crocodile Education Sanctuary.
ACES protects, educates and conducts scientific research on the crocodile. It’s estimated that there is only 10 -20,000 wild crocodiles left worldwide. You can sponsor a rescued crocodile for less than $10.US a month. Donations help towards feeding, medical care and maintaining natural habitats for injured and ill crocodiles.
